Sealing Quartz Ampoules under vacuum

In one or two blogs, we mentioned that we would be sharing information on how to seal Quartz ampoules. Well, the time has come and this short video shows the two most commonly used ampoules we manufacture; one with a constriction and one with a solid Quartz plug. Richard Morgan demonstrates how to seal the ampoules under vacuum.

Although smaller ampoules were used for the demonstration, the same process applies to seal ampoules as large as 80mm OD, and even with an outside diameter of 100mm.
